Biography

Dr Chen Yufu ’s research focuses on traditional craftsmanship, iconography, and AIGC design applications, with a commitment to the study of cultural and creative design and the digital transformation of intangible cultural heritage. He has published multiple papers in SSCI, A&HCI, and CSSCI-indexed journals, as well as one monograph. With extensive teaching experience, he offers courses such as Graphic Design and Three-Dimensional Design. He serves as Principal Investigator for several research grants, including:

l projects funded by the Guangdong Federation of  Social Science foundation

l Guangdong Provincial Undergraduate University Quality Engineering Construction Program

l Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s Public Digital Culture Initiative.

He has also received numerous awards in both professional design and teaching, including:

l Second Prize, Guangdong Provincial College Aesthetic Education Teacher’s Basic Teaching Techniques Contest

l Recipient of international design awards including London Design Awards and IDEA Awards

l Supervisor of students who won the National Gold Award at the 2025 National College Student New Liberal Arts Practice and Innovation Competition
